The Crickets

In a career that has spanned over 40 years and millions of records, the Crickets are unquestionably the American Rock and Roll band. Since the group's founding in 1957, they have influenced virtually every major rock performer in this country and abroad - from Bruce Springsteen and Dylan to the Rolling Stones and Beatles (whose name was even Cricket - inspired)

Their hits:

* That'll Be The Day
* Peggy Sue
* Oh Boy

* Not Fade Away
* Maybe Baby
* I Fought The Law
* Well....Allright
* Rave On
* Walk Right Back
* Love Is All Around

* More Than I Can Say...

...are bonafide rock classics and considered primary lessons in how rock music should be written, played and enjoyed.

"I've always thought that The Crickets were one of the great American bands. The Crickets have always made good music. You don't have to think very long to remember a bunch of good songs they made over the years." - Levon Helm, Drummer & lead vocalist for The Band

"I always wanted to grow up to be a Cricket. Nobody played Stratocaster (guitar) like Buddy or Sonny (Curtis). They had just enough West Texas dirt underneath their fingernails. There was something about the way they played that made it special." - Nanci Griffith

"It's Amazing what Buddy Holly did in his short lifetime. I'm really glad to have done a little something with his music...it's perfect...perfect music." - Robert Reynolds, member of The Mavericks

"I knew Buddy for about eight years while he was recording country music. That was before he got into his own style and created rockabilly sound. I loved what he did... he had a lot of influence on me. Buddy was my friend, and that was the main thing between me and him. I was his protégé." - Waylon Jennings

"What is most striking about Buddy Holly's legacy is the combination of lyrical innocence and the redemptive power of his music - to this day they define what is magical to me about rock n' roll." - Mary Chapin Carpenter

When someone like Paul McCartney says "If it wasn't for the Crickets, there wouldn't be any Beatles', I say excuse me, I'd like to hear that again!" - Jerry Allison, Original member of The Crickets

"One of the most authentic acts on the road today..." All are the original members of The Crickets and have worked together in various combinations non-stop since 1955! From the early days with Buddy Holly till today they have performed and recorded with the likes of Paul McCartney, Waylon Jennings, The Everly Brothers and Bobby Vee to name a few. Glen D. Hardin, who recently rejoined the group, recorded and toured with Elvis Presley, Emmy Lou Harris and John Denver. All this in addition to their over 40 years of chart success and sold out shows world wide! Every performance is a celebration of legendary music from a truly legendary group.
