- NCAA Sweet Sixteen participant at the George Washington University in 1993
- Surpassed Rick Pitino as Boston University's most winning men's basketball coach with a 101-51 record
- Six times NCAA Participant: 1999 at St. John's; 1993-96 at the George Washington University; and 1988 and 1990 at Boston University
- Four time (N.I.T.) National Invitational Tournament participant: 1991, 1995, and 1997 at the George Washington University and 1986 at Boston University
- USA Olympic Trials Assistant coach in 1980 and 1988
- USA Olympic Festival, Head Coach (East Squad-Silver Medal) 1993
- Assistant Coach USA Basketball Men's 22-and-under Team, (Silver) 1993
