Olympic Swimmer Mark Ruiz

Mark, a 16-Time National Champion waited until his last dive to secure his place in Olympic Diving history at the 2000 Olympic Trials in Seattle Washington. In 4-6th place the entire competition, Mark hit his hardest dive on his last attempt of Olympic Trial Finals for the 3-Meter Springboard. His score of 98.70 out of 100 was the highest scoring dive of Trials and catapulted him to the victory and a trip to Sydney Australia as a member of the 2000 U.S.A. Olympic Team!

Mark, originally from Puerto Rico has dreamed about representing the United States at the Olympic Games and now he has his chance. In ESPN the Magazine, Olympic Diving Legend, Greg Luganis said that "Mark is a better diver technically then I was". High praise from the "Chairman of the Boards".
