Kristy has all of the accomplishments of a champion, yet the one thing that makes her truly special is how much she is respected and loved by her competitors and teammates. A leader in practice and in competition, Kristy led her University of Georgia Bulldogs to three straight NCAA Championships:

• 2000

As the reigning World Champion in the 100m Breastroke, Kristy is quickly becoming the favorite in the 100m & 200m Breastroke at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Never to take anything for granted, Kristy has intensified her workouts and commitment to the sport she loves so much.

A future teacher, Kristy hopes she is able to take her positive message to young children and swimmers all over the United States.
