2000 was a breakthrough year for Gabrielle by becoming one of a limited group of athletes that have competed in separate Olympic Games for different countries. A nationalized Brazilian and American citizen, Gabrielle competed in 1996 for the Brazilian National team and for the United States in 2000. Gabrielle is a 21-Time All-American swimmer and a finalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year.
