Born in New York, David has accomplished more than many do in a lifetime. He is a manager, agent promoter/producer and a superb negotiator. David Fishof has been responsible for some of the most original, popular and successful concert tours in recent years. Over the past years, he has produced over 2,000 rock n' roll shows and variety shows. In 1989, David offered America the opportunity to see the greatest superstar band in concert ever to his America, Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band. Bringing Ringo Starr, one of the famous "Beatles" to the stage was David's most thrilling challenge and became the most exciting and biggest success to date. He is known in the music industry as the man who revived sixties music in this country. In that year he also produced Dick Clark's American Bandstand tour. In 1988 David produced the successful Dirty Dancing "The Concert Tour" which spanned three continents and became the biggest event of 1988. David single handedly reunited the Monkees and put them on a tour that became the hottest show of 1986. The incredible success of the Monkees propelled David into the motion picture, theatrical, television and record industries, making David Fishof a permanent fixture in the entertainment industry and in the public eye. In 1984 and 1985 David Fishof created a tour called the "Happy Together" Tour featuring four prominent bands from the sixties. What began simply as an innovative idea to capitalize on what Fishof saw as a resurgence of interest in sixties nostalgia became a major tour playing to sold out audiences in 200 cities across the country. David Fishof has also negotiated many of the most lucrative contracts in sports history. David was the first agent in the history of professional sports to get his client a percentage of the gross box office, when he bucked the National Football League system and took Vince Ferragamo to Canada to play for the Montreal Alouettes. There he signed an unprecedented contracted which Money magazine called a "one in a million deal" and Fishof permanently entrenched himself into the world of sports. In 1989 David negotiated for Phil Simms a $4,200,000 contract, making him one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the National Football League. In 1988 he negotiated a $3,000,000 plus contract for Mark Bavaro with the New York Giants, making him the highest paid tight end in football history. In addition to negotiating mega-playing contracts for his clients, Fishof negotiates lucrative commercial contracts as well. His commercial contracts include: Sasson Jeans, Xerox, Miller Beer, Amoco Oil, Old Spice, Pontiac, Members Only, Honda and Campbell Soup. His list of clients reads life a hall of fame brochure: Phil Simms, Lou Piniella, Vince Ferragamo, Jack "Hacksaw" Reynolds, Randy Myers, Mark Bavaro and David Magadan, just to name a few. He has negotiated deals on behalf of the biggest stars in show business including Bob Hope, Roberta Flack, Alan King, Sammy Davis, Jr., and many others. Fishof's theory on becoming successful in business is the ability to be creative and innovative. "Creativity is the key in business. You must be able to come up with ideas and implement and execute them effectively in order to succeed." David Fishof has come a long way since he began his career at eighteen booking entertainers in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York. Today, he is a producer, manager, lecturer and author.
