Gin Blossoms burst onto the top-40 scene in 1993 with their album, New Miserable Experience. The band offered an amiable and rousing style that fulfilled the need for something other than the dominating grunge sound of the 90s. The album proved to be a winner, delivering such catchy songs as Hey Jealousy and Til I Hear It From You. New Miserable Experience solidified the bands power-pop presence going quadruple-platinum. Their album, The Best of the Gin Blossoms was released in 2003 and highlighted their greatest hits including Follow You Down, which was featured in the hit movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

The group has received a number of accolades since their inception. Their reputation as a local college favorite was key in naming Gin Blossoms Best Rock Band by Phoenix New Times Readers Poll followed by Best Unsigned Band in America from College Media Journal. Further along in their career, the band was nominated for a Grammy for Best Performance by a Group or Duo and was recognized by the American Society of Composers and Publishers for having the two most played songs of 1997, Til I Hear It From You and Follow You Down.

Their honest and polished tunes helped to carve their niche in the pop/rock category and still attract enthusiastic sold-out audiences around the country.
