Brad Zinn's "The Great Comedians"
a visit from the inventor of the "topical monologue" - Will Rogers. Will enters spinning a rope and regales the audience with witty observations from the world of current events, circa 1932. Amazingly, Will's satire sounds as though it could have been ripped straight from today's headlines!
Next is an uncanny recreation of George Burns. George talks about his early years in show business up to the point when he met and married Gracie Allen and they became an instant success. George even warbles a tune from his act now and then. George finishes with a poignant "Say goodnight, Gracie." Gracie's voice is heard to reply, "Goodnight." The only person that can follow George Burns, is of course, his old friend, Jack Benny. Jack (as portrayed by Brad) strolls onstage with hornrimmed glasses and violin in hand. He tells a hilarious tale of being made a fool in a hotel casino and ends wih his infamous violin solo, "Love In Bloom." The show's rousing finale is an original song, written by Brad and friend, Bill Swayze, "The Great Comedians." The song includes segments highlighting Groucho Marx, W. C. Fields, Fred Allen, Jimmy Durante, Ed Sullivan, George Jessel, Red Skelton, and many others. Brad Zinn's "The Great Comedians" is a sixty to ninety minute concert of comedy, music, song, juggling, magic and impressions that is aimed at American audiences aged 45 and above. However, children are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the show with their parents and grandparents. Brad Zinn's "The Great Comedians" travels easily with just two people and is perfectly suited to dinner theatres, community theatre venues seating up to 1200, adult resort communities, or cruise ships. The show requires minimal staging and lights, and can be presented with recorded music tracks or up to a six piece live orchestra. Brad Zinn's "Tribute To The Great Comedians" is available for appearances at your next corporate event or conference. Contact us today to get started. |
