er's Rock N' Roll Party", the TV special syndicated in 130 markets by Tribune Entertainment! This confirmed once again the broad-based popularity of Bowzer, outrageous former leader of "Sha Na Na".
The innovative packaging of Bowzer's comedic and musical talents with performances by the classic rockers of the 50's and early 60's had already shattered every box office record at Atlantic City's Trop World Hotel and Casino during a seven-month run. Almost 200,000 customers created unprecedented demand at the hotel's 1700-seat showroom! For the first time in the Trop's history, the summer schedule was expanded to ten shows per week, and the "Bowzer" show, scheduled to close on Labor Day, was extended through January 2!
