Billy was born to sing. At the tender age of twelve, he was appearing on radio shows in his hometown of Philadelphia. By fifteen, he was sharing the stage with Charlie Parker and John Coltraine as a jazz vocalist. His first commercial record, titled "Why am I?", set the world stage for future success. Twenty-three albums and a Grammy Award later, Billy is still setting the world on fire.

Billy Paul has shared the stage with Richard Pryor, Manhattan Transfer, Miles Davis, Robert Goulet, Stevie Wonder, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Roberta Flack. In December, Billy will be in concert with James Brown in Belgium, followed by a tour in Germany and England. Today, Billy is still a major music force in South America, where his popularity continues to grow.
